How does it work?
Clinics looking for ODs to provide relief work can search a database of relief doctors who have created profiles and indicated they are available at that clinic’s location.
The search results do not contain identifying information but do contain important information like the relief doctors’ availability, years of experience, number of patients that can be seen per hour, and more.
If the clinic finds a potential good fit, they can send out connection requests, which can be purchased by the clinic representative in packages of 1, 3, and 5 for $39, $99, and $149 respectively.
If the connection request is accepted by the relief doctor, contact information is shared and the parties are free to negotiate the specific terms of their agreement outside of the website.
Is this for clinics looking to hire relief doctors or ODs looking for relief opportunities?
Both! Our site collects both sides of the network, and ODs can even sign up as both a hiring doctor and a relief provider.
Is this for other optometry staff, like opticians?
Not at this time.
Is this just for certain cities in Texas?
We are focusing our initial rollout across Texas, though nothing is stopping ODs in other states from signing up, and we encourage them to do so - with the caveat that it may be a bit of a wait before we launch our service in their location.
How much does it cost?
Connection credits can be purchased in packages of 1, 3, and 5 for $39, $99, and $149 respectively. This will likely change over time.
Do relief doctors pay to create profiles on the site?
Not at this time.
